Originally founded in 1988 as Les Floralies by Colyn Devereux, the business evolved when her son, Danvers Devereux, took the reins. In 2014, Danvers purchased a neglected farm in Matakana, transforming it into a thriving eco-home for the company and relaunching the brand as Matakana Botanicals.

Today, Danvers leads the collection of brands with a hands-on approach, overseeing everything from product innovation to the sourcing and cultivation of local ingredients.

With a strong passion for New Zealand’s unique landscape and resources, Danvers is inspired by the opportunity to create products using the very finest the country has to offer. Matakana Botanicals proudly sources hero ingredients, including Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Macadamia Oil from the Matakana region, wild-harvested Mānuka Honey and Mānuka Oil from Great Barrier Island, and lavender grown and harvested on the property itself.
